ABOUT US
The Filipino-American Accountants of Texas (FAATX) has established itself as the only accounting professional organization in Greater Houston, Texas. Because of Houston’s vast network of community organizations, FAATX takes advantage of providing an active role by participating in these organizations’ activities, a viable step in promoting the accounting profession, and most importantly, reach out to young accounting professionals and accounting students to enhance their career development and professional growth. FAATX takes pride of members who act as educators and mentors who are constantly available in fostering educational and professional leadership and direction to its young members.
Over the past few years, FAATX has solicited membership of young accounting professionals, encouraged networking, and fostered spirit of fellowship and camaraderie. It has offered and lent selfless dedication by helping alleviate, in its limited way, the miseries brought by a strong storm in the Philippines and in Houston, a sheer proof of FAATX’s active role and visibility in the community.
The past NCPACA Conventions held in Houston and the upcoming Convention currently scheduled in July 2019 at The Woodlands have strengthened members’ involvement, not only in professional development, but also in maintaining an active role in the success of the entire organization.
FAATX plans to focus on the future by being more responsive to the needs of the accounting profession in Greater Houston by continuing to reach out to young accounting professionals and accounting students and encouraging members to provide them with results of research, direction, leadership, and sharing with them their life-long experiences in the accounting profession, experiences that made them productive accounting professionals.
FAATX stands by its commitments and commends its members for making its endeavors reach the positive results it has long sought to accomplish.
FAATX is a member of National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), the umbrella organization of Filipino accountants in North America.
